The perfect start for James and Shona’s happily ever after.

A proposal at Disneyland Paris

Disneyland Paris is described as place where “fairy-tales take flight across 5 incredible lands filled with classic attractions, shows and street parades.” When James looked for a place that would fit their storybook love a Disneyland proposal was the perfect proposal location.

Like most Disney love stories they start early in life. Evolving from a teenage friendship, to young love, maturing to an enduring love that will last a lifetime.   Shona and James met when she was 15 and he was 17. They met each other during their childhood years, but never really spoke until the moment their lives would change forever.

Shona tells us, “I was walking my dog when I saw him with his friends playing football. One thing led to the next and before you knew it we are still together 6 years down the line.”

Even though they met young they knew right away that this was a love that would last. Shona says, “After our one year I knew I had never felt this way with anyone else.”

James was ready to take their relationship to the next level. He had decided to propose but had to figure out how and where.   Like many thoughtful boyfriends he knew it would mean more if his proposal coordinated with an important date.   For James the ideal option was their upcoming 6-year anniversary.

James and Shona reside in the UK and had decided to spend their 6-year anniversary in one of the most romantic cities in the world, Paris. Paris has numerous locations that are fitting for a memorable proposal.   There are almost so many it is hard to choose the spot that fits you and your future Fiancée.

James chose their trip to Disneyland on May 24^th, 2016 as the most magical spot for his planned proposal.

James wanted a ring that represented how much he loved Shona.   He went to Jewelers three separate times before he chose the ring that would symbolize their future and his never-ending commitment to Shona. James chose a ring with square setting holding 4 diamonds from H. Samuel The Jeweler.

James now had the ring and he safely transported the ring to Paris.   Traveling with an engagement ring is a nerve-racking experience for any man. He was now ready to ask Shona the most important question of his life.

As they stood in front of Sleeping Beauty’s Castle the crowning attraction at Disneyland Shona turned to take a picture.   James took this brief distraction to get down on one knee.

As Shona turned around James was waiting with the ring box open and asked her to marry him.   Shona said, yes!   They spent the rest of their vacation in Paris eager to continue their fairy-tale.
