There is a reason that so many people flock to visit Florida each year. We have famous beaches, beaches lined with coquina rock, beautiful weather, and the nation’s oldest city: St. Augustine. Not only is Florida a great place to relax and unwind, it’s also a great place to pop the question, or have the destination wedding of your dreams. If you’re thinking about getting down on one knee any time soon, take a look at some of my favorite proposal locations around the Central Florida area. CENTRAL FLORIDA PROPOSAL LOCATIONS #1 THE BEACH: Where better to start than at the world’s most famous beach. Lighthouse Point Park, in Ponce Inlet is a great location to pop the question. It’s lined with gorgeous mangroves, huge boulders that form the jetty, and speckled with the perfect amount of driftwood. Ponce inlet provides you with the most picturesque 360° view, including the inlet and lighthouse. We love Ponce Inlet because it provides so many versatile backdrops all in on great location. Honorable mention: Beaches in the Keys. If you’re over that way, you can’t miss the beautiful turquoise water!

CENTRAL FLORIDA PROPOSAL LOCATIONS #2 AROUND TOWN: If the beach isn’t really your thing, and you love to window shop and check out the town, these next locations are for you. We have some super cute streets lined with boutique shops and romantic restaurants that are perfect for popping the question, or having your engagement session. We love photographing around town because there are so many options all within walking distance of just one location. Canal Street in New Smyrna Beach is a prime example. You have the cute boutique style Canal Street right in the middle and the historic Old Fort Park on one side (which by the way has some neat history behind it), and on the other side some vintage/industrial buildings and houses with wrought iron gates. These 3 locations are all walking distance of each other and all look completely different, but are the perfect setting for something just a little bit out of the ordinary.

CENTRAL FLORIDA PROPOSAL LOCATIONS #3 THE GREAT OUTDOORS: If you enjoy spending time in the great outdoors, there are some awesome locations for that as well! Some of my favorite locations for these types of sessions are: A field off one of the “country” roads. It provides perfect muted colors, so you have options when it comes to dressing for photos there. Also the grass is tall and when the sun hits it just right during golden hour, it gives off a really romantic vibe. Another location I love is an old dilapidated bridge that also has some history behind it, walk over the bridge, and you will be brought out to another field that has some great opportunities. Last but not least, Cracker Creek Canoeing in Port Orange also has endless possibilities (and peacocks!) when it comes to different backgrounds in one single location. If rustic isn’t really your thing, try out any of the awesome gardens like Washington Oaks Gardens State Park or Harry P. Leu Gardens. Honorable mentions: Vizcaya Gardens in Miami, which will make you feel like you’re in Italy and John Pennekamp State Park in Key Largo, which will bring you to a tropical paradise!

CENTRAL FLORIDA PROPOSAL LOCATIONS #4 THE SPRINGS: Green Springs, Gemini Springs, Blue Springs, and Ginnie Springs are a few of the gorgeous springs that we have around the area. So if you love turquoise water and a tropical feel, these next locations are ones you should keep in mind!

All in all, it doesn’t really matter what you prefer, because Central Florida has SO many locations to choose from. From the oldest city in the nation, to several different types of beaches, there is a perfect backdrop for everyone.
