While writing this article, I debated whether or not to just list ten locations in Omaha that would be great to propose or to list the many ways and associated locations you have at your disposal. I love options and decided to unveil many of the hidden gems Omaha has to offer!
So, whether you’re a romantic at heart, an adventurer, sentimentalist, or want to just keep it simple, feel free to incorporate anyone of these ideas into your first step into getting your “happily ever after”.
Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium – The Henry Doorly Zoo offers several scenic locations to propose to your special someone. Love penguins and aquatic life? Go to the Suzanne and Walter Scott Aquarium. Are butterflies more to your linking? Then the zoo has the newly established Berniece Grewcock Butterfly and Insect Pavilion. The options go on and on. The Durham Museum – Step back in time and visit this national historic landmark to discover the history of Union Station, while discovering your future!

Gerald R. Ford Birthplace and Gardens – Visit the memorial for the 38th President of the United States, who was born in Omaha, Nebraska. Tour the colonnade and rose garden, before popping the big question.

Joslyn Art Museum – Dating an art lover? Then Joslyn Art Museum provides the perfect setting to ask your other half to spend the rest of your lives together while appreciating creative wonders.

This is for the couple who loves to hike, camp, and simply enjoy nature’s beauty in all of the Midwest’s grand seasons.
Fontenelle Forest – Visit Fontenelle forest and be inspired by their lush forests to oak savanna, prairie, and wetlands.
Mahoney State Park – Have a bride that loves to hangout around a campfire, swim, horseback ride, picnic, and more? This is another great location where you may not only “pop the question,” but also say your “I do’s”.
OPPD Arboretum – What a beautiful location in northwest Omaha! It a great place to take a romantic walk, while enjoying nature’s beauty.
