Looking for unique Albuquerque proposal locations?  Trying to determine the best Albuquerque proposal idea?

Albuquerque is a truly a city unique and this article will answer all your questions.

Located in Northern New Mexico, it is in the land of enchantment.

There are so many unique aspects of this city from the top of the Sandia Mountains to the valley and the parks. If you are into the outdoors or prefer a popular tourist location, you are not lacking for choices in the Albuquerque area. Here are my top choices for the best proposal locations in ABQ.

Albuquerque Proposal Location #1:  The Sandia Crest

Sandia Crest is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 10,678 feet above the sea level, located in the Sandia Mountains. It is accessible by Tram or by road also known as Sandia Crest Scenic Byway. The road surface is in good shape but for dirt on the tight corners. Either way the views are very different and very beautiful. The Granite Mountains present you with a magnificent and romantic backdrop from sunrise to sunset.  Sandia Crest US Forest Service Website

Albuquerque Proposal Location #2: Sandia Tram

The Sandia Tram trip up or down the mountain is pretty spectacular.

It is an aerial tram that boasts the world’s third longest single tram ride in the US. The views of the entire valley and Sandia Canyons can best be seen from the tram and top of the crest. Often times the tram ride is full so you might want to call ahead and ask when is the best time for the month you are considering. Or better yet, invite your own group to be your private audience to truly add to the gift of the proposal.   sandiapeak.com

Albuquerque Proposal Location #3:  The Elena Gallegos Open Space in the Sandia foothills

provides a spectacular backdrop during fine weather. The park’s trees, grass and wildlife surround the park’s many trails. For those who enjoy hiking and being out in the natural world, taking a romantic stroll and stopping at the Elena Gallegos amphitheater to propose has a natural kind of magic to it, beneath the towering granite face of the Sandia mountains. Albuquerque Proposal Location #4:  Albuquerque’s Old Town Gazebo

has a lot of charm, and a lot of weddings take place in the plaza’s central gazebo. It’s also a great place to propose, under the canopy of trees, near or in the gazebo. Across from the historic San Felipe church, the area’s rich history and special atmosphere make it a natural for romance in summer or with the faralito lights of the holidays.  See City of Albuquerque website

Albuquerque Proposal Location #6:  Albuquerque Bio Park and botanic Gardens

If you like the idea of proposing or holding a wedding in a large garden space, the Bio Park Botanic Garden southwest of downtown offers plenty of intimate opportunities away from prying eyes and ears. The garden features nearly two miles of pedestrian walkways that wind around a range of exhibits, including a formal Japanese garden, a heritage farm, a massive dragon sculpture, and a Spanish-Moorish garden. The Spanish-Moorish garden features raised rose beds and the Ceremonial Garden, which is one of the most romantic places you’ll find in Albuquerque. Clematis, wisteria and roses all entwine around the pillars and arches here, making it ideal for intimate proposals and popular for weekend weddings.  See PublicGardens.org
